Bituminous Hot Mix Road Repair Project between Bursa, İnegöl, and Bozüyük

PROJECT SCOPE

This comprehensive project covers a total of 102.88 km of roadway between Bursa, İnegöl, and Bozüyük, detailed as follows:

• Bursa-İnegöl-Bozüyük Road: 74.64 km (Km: 25+620 - 100+255)
• Bozüyük Road: 10.85 km (Km: 0+000 - 10+845)
• Bozüyük-Eskişehir Road: 17.39 km (Km: 0+000 - 17+388)

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Improve Road Quality:
Repairing the road surface will enhance driving comfort and safety, ensuring every journey is a secure and enjoyable experience.

Increase Transport Capacity:
Improved infrastructure will facilitate the passage of heavy vehicles, shortening transportation times and boosting efficiency.

Extend Service Life:
Utilizing quality materials will prolong the lifespan of the road, reducing maintenance needs and contributing to a sustainable transport network.

EXISTING ISSUES AND SOLUTION PROCESS

Due to heavy vehicle traffic, various issues such as polishing, cracks, and settlements have emerged. To address these while prioritizing reliability and comfort, the following steps have been taken:

Excavation Process: The existing road alignment has been maintained, with careful profiling. Asphalt milling machines were employed to meticulously excavate the road profile.

Production of Stone Mastic Asphalt: Stone mastic asphalt has been applied to the excavated surface. This specialized asphalt enhances the road’s durability, offering a long-lasting solution. It maintains flexibility even in hot weather conditions, minimizing the risk of cracking.

CONCLUSION
